Gender Equality Code

In line with our commitment to fostering a fair, inclusive, and collaborative research environment, the following Gender Equality Code outlines the principles that guide gender-related practices of the Foster Europe Foundation.

Equal Opportunity in Leadership and Contribution

We ensure that all genders are granted equal opportunities to coordinate the specific objectives and lead activities. Every team member is equally encouraged to contribute their input, comments, and suggestions on project content, regardless of gender.

Gender-Neutral Budget Structure

The structure and allocation of the budget are gender neutral. No differentiation is made between genders in funding, compensation, or access to resources.

Equal Participation and Responsibility

All staff members—regardless of gender—have the same opportunities to participate actively as team members and to take responsibility for their own involvement.

Support for Young Researchers

We are committed to supporting young researchers of all genders. Equal opportunities are provided for professional development, participation, and networking.

Integration of Gender Specific Expertise

The Foundation encourages the exchange and integration of gender-specific expertise. Recognizing the value of diverse perspectives contributes to a more comprehensive and holistic approach to the research goals.

Balanced Gender Representation in Outreach Activities

We make active efforts to involve representatives of all genders in all workshops, seminars, and events. This commitment aims to promote inclusive dialogue and ensure balanced representation in all activities.

Continuous Monitoring and Improvement

Gender equality measures and practices will be regularly reviewed to ensure compliance and to identify opportunities for improvement throughout the Foundations lifecycle. To support this effort, the Foundation has appointed a Gender Equality Officer (GEO), Anna Machynska.
