E4C Project in Bratislava - REscEU Escape Room

In the framework of the EU-financed Europe for Citizens project RescEU, Foster Europe organised a project event in cooperation with the Gymnázium Ceská in Bratislava on the 6th and 7th of September 2021. The Representation of the European Commission in Slovakia also reported on the event.

The project was is to organise playful Escape Rooms - addressing youngsters between 15-18 years of age in English - in which pupils will have a chance to learn about the benefits and the history of the EU and will be able to discuss about EU matters and the impact EU had and will have on their lives and careers.

The Escape Room scenario is dystopic. The EU is dissolved and history, and the players will have to organise in an Europe of national/lstic states their trip to study abroad. In this scenario they experience restrictive border regimes, decreasing quality of education and infrastructure in their countries, currency exchange problems as the EURO is history too etc.

Thanks to the cooperation with the Gymnázium Ceská Bratislava more than one hundred pupils were able to play the escape room in early September.

RescEU is a project applied in 11 countries by dedicated NGOs, you can learn more about th project by clicking here.
